Sales Engineer

Are you a commercial technician who likes variety, challenge and seeing opportunities to generate turnover? Then we are looking for you!

Sales Engineer

Function

You have decided to start from home this morning so that you can be with the client at 10:00. You work through some emails and prepare for your meeting with the client. You quickly call a colleague to discuss some matters regarding an upcoming project with a client. Then it is time to jump in the car so that you can be with the client on time.

After the conversation with the customer, you drive to a prospect for an initial introduction. Curious about what you can do for this relationship! It helps that you know the industry, you have sufficient technical knowledge to sense what this potential customer needs.

By the time you get back to the office, it’s already lunchtime. Coincidentally, the treat of the month is ready! In the afternoon, you’ll work out a few more quotes, call some customers, and at the end of the afternoon, a project meeting is planned with colleagues from the Projects & Engineering department.

The day has flown by again! You are out for the rest of the week because tomorrow you are going to visit some clients abroad!

What are you going to do?

As a Sales Engineer you will work both in the internal and external service throughout Europe. This commercial, technical and executive function is focused on realizing an optimal course of various sales activities.

You signal developments and respond to them, you actively approach existing and potential relationships and are responsible for quotation management. Of course, you do not do this alone. Together with 5 colleagues, you form the Sales team and you are a connecting factor between the various supporting disciplines / departments.

Your profile

  • You have a commercial or technical background.
  • You are customer-oriented and have a proactive attitude.
  • You see opportunities and know how to convert them into results.
  • You have strong communication skills and are a born networker.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, and you are comfortable with German.

Why choose us?

Working at Bakker Oilfield Supply means working at one of the nicest companies in Coevorden. Why? Because we attach great value to a pleasant working atmosphere, with us no one is a number. You become part of a nice team of colleagues where you quickly feel at ease.

You help us grow, so we help you grow too. For this we have our own competence management system. Of course we offer you a suitable salary with 25 vacation days and 13 atv days, a favorable pension scheme and a commuting allowance (also if you come on foot).

We offer a pleasant working atmosphere in which people are central. In addition to the lunch walks or the conversation over a cup of coffee, we have an active staff association that provides a fun party and outing every year. Even the children of colleagues are thought of.

A birthday costs enough money, if it’s your birthday, we’ll treat you! In addition, we participate in company tournaments with colleagues (including running, football, volleyball) and we organize a drink ourselves every now and then to catch up, all of this is of course without obligation.
